He was commissioned into the Regt of Artillery and has actively participated in 1971 War, 1999 (Kargil War), Siachen Glacier and Counter Insurgency Operations in J & K. The Officer during his tenure was the Chairman of various Central & Army Schools and has been associated with training of Officers & Jawans. After retirement, he has been deeply involved with social service and has been looking after grievances of veteran soldiers. He has dedicated his life to encourage the youth of the country, mainly motivate them to join Defence Services in Officers cadre. He is a trained and experienced Interviewing Officer. There is a long list of successful candidates to his credit. Many educational institutes feel honored with his association and his constant guidance to their students. He cherishes a vision to encourage, motivate and make the students to take up career in Defence Services, thus serving a dual aim of students and society.

About Kargil Defence Academy
AIM of Kargil Defence Academy is to train and motivate youths to join Defence Forces as an Officer. Armed Forces have shortage of more than 13000 Officers and Kargil Defence Academy is trying its best to contribute to overcome this deficiency by providing selfless service. It is a registered education institute by Registrar Sansthan, Jaipur. On a popular demand, KDA has also started courses and training for soldiers in all three services.
